Project
T-shirt/sticker illustration
Client
Brainy Pixel Productions, a Christian animation studio in Alabama. They create high-quality, faith-based animation, film, comics, books, and educational content that glorifies Christ, and provide their services to several clients throughout the country.
I partnered with the creative director of Brainy Pixel to create an illustration that would be used for team member t-shirts for the creatives to wear and represent the company.
The illustration features the two cherubim with wings outstretched atop the lid of the ark of the covenant, with the slogan 'Be a Bezalel' and the Scripture reference of Exodus 31 on the lid. Chapter 31 of Exodus references the craftsmen chosen by God from among the Israelites (one of which was Bezalel) to create artistic designs in gold, silver, and bronze, as well as cut stones, and woodwork, for the dedication of the tabernacle. The reminder is for each creative at Brainy Pixel to do their best quality work for each project and client, striving to glorify the Lord in their work.
When finished, I supplied final high resolution two-color vector artwork to Brainy Pixel, that was then used to produce t-shirts and stickers.
Initial digital sketches for two options for the illustration.
Once approved, I worked both options up as full, two-color vector artwork, using the Brainy Pixel brand color yellow and white and presented both to the creative director. I also chose two typeface options for the 'Be A Bezalel' slogan that complemented the illustration.
Once the creative director chose the second option, he had changes for the decorative elements on the lid, and asked me to extend the lid to include the book/chapter reference for Exodus 31. Once this final illustration was approved, I finalized the high resolution vector files of the illustration in full color, and two-color formats, packaged up all the various file types, and sent them on to the creative director to be used for production of t-shirts and stickers.
